IACA organizes several events throughout the year, which are open to all, regardless of membership, age and ethnicity:
Chinese New Year Celebration Banquet: Our signature event, this is our annual sit-down feast with cultural performances to celebrate the New Year
Dragon Boat Festival Picnic: We gather annually at Eagle Creek Park for a family-style picnic to usher in the summer season
Carmelfest July 4 Parade: We proudly march every year in Carmel's Independence Day parade, as a show of civic pride
Leisurely hikes: Led by veteran outdoorsman and IACA Past President Benny Ko, these are scheduled periodically throughout the year

Join our Lion Dance Team
We receive many requests throughout the year to perform, demonstrate, and teach Chinese lion dance all over Central Indiana. We welcome anyone to join us - regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or experience - as we serve as cultural ambassadors. No experience needed, just a willing spirit!
Volunteer With Us
We are always in need of volunteers to help out in a variety of ways, including:
Manning IACA booths at cultural events: Serve as a goodwill ambassador of IACA by sitting in our booth at Asian Fest, International Festival, etc.
Planning events: Help us plan, shop for, decorate, and run our annual events such as our Chinese New Year banquet or Dragon Boat Festival picnic
Note to students: We always welcome student volunteers and will be happy to sign for volunteer hours, write Letters of Reference, and provide recognition and special opportunities for regular volunteers.
